What at an absolute joy it was to be a part of Kurt and Eva’s beautiful day! It was raining throughout the morning but the sun came out just in time for their evening wedding at Sycamore Creek Family Ranch near Branson, Missouri.

Kurt and Eva’s ceremony overlooked Bull Creek and had a stunning panorama view of the rolling hills of the Ozarks. The reception was held in the same location which meant we got to enjoy the views all evening long!

Around 5:00 the ceremony began. I know I’m not alone when I say, I love watching the groom as the bride comes in to view. As Eva began down the aisle, arm in arm with her dad, I hear someone say “Jesus”. I turn to look back at the speaker and see Kurt. He is holding back tears and has an expression that I can only describe as pure amazement and awe. It was such a special and beautiful moment in time that I’m sure neither of them will ever forget.

The ceremony was centered around a tree planting ceremony. Eva & Kurt each took soil from their mother’s childhood home and used it to plant a small bonsai tree together. A perfect reminder that this day was a day celebrating not only the joining of two people but rather the joining of two families together.

The dinner reception was such a blast! Kurt, Eva, their families, and friends were all SO much fun!! Everyone was so relaxed throughout the whole day and I truly had a wonderful time spending the evening with them. The bridal party, as you will see below, was fantastic. A bringing together of people that had nothing but joy and excitement for Kurt and Eva as they celebrated all together.

I knew when I met Eva, and heard her and Kurt’s story, that I would LOVE shooting their wedding day. A gorgeous outdoor wedding venue, decor with hints of Harry Potter, a super organized bride, what more could I ask for?!? But then, as I listened to the toasts and heard about how hard working both Kurt and Eva are, my affection for them grew and I couldn’t help but feel even more grateful and honored to have been asked to be a part of their day. These two are very special people and I can’t wait to see all that they will accomplish.
